The battery comes with an Energywell electric plan with a locked-in rate. You'll see the plan's rate and terms in writing, including the Electricity Facts Label, before you enroll.
Get installed, then forget about it
A licensed installer mounts the battery on an exterior wall and connects it to your existing electrical panel. After that it runs on its own.
Energywell owns and operates it. You don't buy it, lease it or finance it.
The battery stays the property of Energywell Home, LLC. Day to day, Energywell uses the battery to help manage how it serves the grid and your home. That's how the program pairs your electric plan with dependable backup power.
When the grid goes down, the battery's job switches to one thing: keeping your home powered.
And because Energywell owns it, keeping it running is their job, not yours. Energywell services and operates the battery as part of the program. Your power staying on is in their interest, too.

Are there hidden fees?
Energywell owns the battery, so you don't buy, lease or finance it. Your electric plan's rate and any fees are listed on its Electricity Facts Label, which you see before you enroll.
Is this a lease or a loan?
Neither. Energywell owns and operates the battery. You don't finance it, make equipment payments or take on a loan.
Am I signing a long contract?
You enroll in an Energywell electric plan, and its term is shown in writing first.
Will installation damage my house?
It's a clean, wall-mounted install. The battery mounts on an exterior wall and connects to your existing panel. No generator, no fuel and no daily upkeep.
Does it really work in an outage?
Yes. It switches on automatically. When the grid drops, the battery takes over on its own, with nothing to flip, start or refuel.
What if my home doesn't qualify?

Who's eligible?
Texas homeowners in deregulated areas. You need to own the home (not rent it), the home can't already have solar panels, and you enroll in an Energywell electric plan. Some usage requirements apply; check a recent bill for your monthly kWh.
